國際遺傳工程和生物技術(shù)中心,ICGEB,InternationalCenterforGeneticEngineeringandBiotechnology,www.icgeb.org國際遺傳工程和生物技術(shù)中心（InternationalCenterforGeneticEngineeringandBiotechnology,簡稱ICGEB）屬政府間國際科技組織，是在聯(lián)合國工業(yè)發(fā)展組織的支持下于1983 年創(chuàng)立的。其宗旨和原則是促進發(fā)達國家和發(fā)展中國家在遺傳工程和生物技術(shù)領(lǐng)域的合作與交流，使發(fā)展中國家有機會參加這些領(lǐng)域的國際研究和培訓活動，以提高本國實力，推動國民經(jīng)濟發(fā)展。ICGEB目前已有43個成員國，我國于1987年成為該中心正式成員。生物中心成立以后,受合作司委托,成為ICGEB中國分中心的正式掛靠單位，具體負責中國分中心的日常管理工作，主要業(yè)務(wù)包括向ICGEB推薦博士、博士后及相關(guān)人員進行培訓、開展合作研究。TheInternationalCentreforGeneticEngineeringandBiotechnologyprovidesascientificandeducationalenvironmentofthehigheststandardandconductsinnovativeresearchinlifesciencesforthebenefitofdevelopingcountries.ItstrengthenstheresearchcapabilityofitsMembersthroughtrainingandfundingprogrammesandadvisoryservicesandrepresentsacomprehensiveapproachtopromotingbiotechnologyinternationally.TheCentreisdedicatedtoadvancedresearchandtraininginmolecularb
