The PM500-1L/1V Stages are the ideal foundation for especially demanding
fabrication processes like fiber pigtailing, ballbonding, micro-ablation, scanning and
controlled optical exposure. Like all PM500 stages, they offer the most accurate and
repeatable motion available from an off-the-shelf modular stage. These stages may be
mounted in any orientation and are cleanroom friendly with operation to Class 0.1.
Despite being smaller than most manually driven 25 mm travel stages, these minitravel
stages provide all of the reliability, robustness and durability that make the PM500
stages the industry leaders. A high-torque DC motor runs smoothly in a fully-internalized
space saving design. All critical reference surfaces are precision-ground to maintain
superior flatness and straightness of travel. The result is a motion system with unmatched
laboratory-grade quality and performance with production line reliability. And like all
PM500 Series stages, the PM500-1L/1V Series incorporates direct-output metrology to
deliver outstanding dynamic performance.
A linear glass scale attached to the moving table eliminates all of the drive train
errors not measurable when the encoder is attached to the motor. The scale is mounted
on a precision-ground reference surface to ensure alignment with the stage s axis of
motion, eliminating possible cosine errors and providing better than 0.75 μm accuracy
over full travel. The scale incorporates a fiducial track for reading absolute origin
position. A propriety non-contacting head eliminates hysteresis and wear.
The stages are built from high-strength stress-relieved aircraft 7075 aluminum and
incorporate high-quality crossed-roller bearings with approximately 75% more bearing
length to travel than for typical stages which provide excellent stiffness, load capacity
and lifetime for demanding high duty applications. Combining this with low friction
preloaded lead screw assembly and cool running DC motor drive provides reliability
better than 20,000 MTBF.

Note: At the high level of precision in which this stage operates, there are many factors
that can impact performance in a specific application, including: temperature and
humidity control, seismic vibration control, flatness of mounting surface, and stage stack
configuration. As such, it may be difficult to verify specifications such as bi-directional
repeatability and minimum incremental motion in every application.

The PM500 series stages are configured by first specifying English or metric threaded
holes, and then specifying the horizontal or vertical stage version and the resolution in
nanometers. For example, the M-Pm500-1V.25 is a metric vertical stage with 0.025 μm
(25nm) resolution

Dimensions:

They are built in either a Metric or English version. These are the mounting holes on the top of the Mini Z I will quote you both (they are the same price) and you will need to make a decision on this.

Also the stage comes standard with the axis card and cable which is tuned to the Mini Z. This is the electronics card that is installed in the controller. This is not the complete controller but the axis card only to run the Mini Z.
