The ruggedly built Rotomill 15/24 is an all-electric variable speed two-roll mill. The Rotomill has an adjustable nip and accomodates a wide range of plastic materials. This mill uses individually driven, chrome-plated carbon steel rolls – cored for heating and cooling. Heavy duty roller bearings and other production-oriented construction considerations ensure this machine's extreme durability.
Construction:
Rolls: High-strength carbon steel rolls; chrome plated and precision
ground. Individually heated.
Bearings: Rolls mounted on heavy-duty, high temperature rated roller
bearings equipped with high temperature seals.
Drive: Completely enclosed AC drive motors with infinitely variable
speed. Each rotor is independently driven with heavy-duty
reduction gearboxes and duplex chain drives. Flux vector
constant torque inverter drives.
Base: Heavy duty steel base - welded and painted.
Controls: Control panel integrating Start/stop, individual roll
speed settings, master speed control, individual roll
temperature settings, and emergency stop.
Temperature Control: Electric Band Heaters (0 to 300°C) with fuzzy
logic PID control. Type J thermocouples with
solid state switching.
Safety: Moving components are fully guarded. Includes electrical
interlock to prevent operation when guard is open.
