The CM-2500d portable spectrophotometer features a bright viewfinder, easy-to-carry body, and is ergonomically designed to fit your hand while taking measurements from many different angles, providing the most accurate readings quickly — less than 2 seconds.
It features user-friendly controls with only 2 buttons: one to measure and a “navigation wheel” to scroll and select operations on the LCD screen. The large screen displays data graphically or numerically, showing you all the facts at a glance. Pass/Fail indications, colorimetric data with descriptive color difference, or L*a*b* color graph with box or elliptical tolerances can be viewed at any time.
The screen also has a display reversing function so it can be read in any direction. The internal software communicates in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. It has an illuminated viewer, to make measuring even easier. With one touch, and even on dark samples, the brightly illuminated LED allows comfortable and true sample viewing.
The CM-2500d combines comfort and simplicity of use with the patented Innovation Optical System to meet the highest standards for color measurement in nearly every Quality Assurance application. Numerical gloss control and numerical UV control are built into a d/8 sphere. The numerical gloss control provides simultaneous data with specular component included (SCI) and excluded (SCE). Both measurement results can be displayed at any time on the LCD display. The advantage of this feature lies in its superior optical results as well as the absence of any moving parts, making the instrument rugged enough for portable applications.
This instrument is compatible with SpectraMagic NX software which is easy-to-use and displays multiple views of data results which can be edited. Target data of the primary target can be associated to two or more secondary targets, allowing for sophisticated QC applications, such as checking for color difference.
Users can drag-and-drop information into the software for easy interpretation after printing. A variety of graphs can be used to display information, preconfigured templates are available, and a status window is available to show instrument information at a glance. Data compiled with older software is compatible and can be transferred to the newest updated software. If Excel is needed to show data, the information can also be easily exported. A Navigation Function and Color Tutorial are included with the software for additional information.
